Will Apple's apology win back Chinese consumers?

Apple Inc Chief Executive Tim Cook apologized to Chinese consumers on Monday for the company's warranty policy following more than two weeks of criticism in the Chinese media about its after-sales service.
"We are deeply sorry for any concern or misunderstanding for the idea that Apple disregards or pays inadequate attention to the feedback of Chinese consumers," read a Chinese letter signed by Cook and posted on Apple China's website.
The company also stated that it has fixed the much criticized policies on its iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S products, and under the new rules that took effect on Monday, customers in China will have their devices replaced.
