Chinese characters, simplified or traditional?

Wu Shimin, deputy to China's 12th National People's Congress (NPC) and vice chairman of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, made a proposal at a panel discussion of the Ningxia delegation on March 9 that China should abolish the simplified Chinese characters and revive the use of traditional characters. The resumption of traditional characters will not only help preserve traditional Chinese culture and but also facilitate intercultural communication, Wu said. Should China resume the use of traditional characters?
